It's a Hootenanny!

Chances are you've heard of a Dutch Baby or a German Pancake, but have you ever heard of a Hootenanny? Well, in our opinion it's better than its German cousin.

One of my favorites, Rachel Parcell, shared her hootenanny recipe on her IG stories and I knew I had to try it. Super easy to make and we're hooked! Its great with powdered sugar and lemon, syrup, or jam. Note: We just halve her recipe as there's only 3 of us eating it.

Rachel Parcell's Skalla Family Hootenanny

Melt 1/2 cup butter in a 9x13 pan in the oven at 400 degrees

In a large bowl beat together with a mixer:

  • 7 eggs

  • 1 cup flour

  • 1 cup milk

  • 1 tsp vanilla

  • 1/2 cup strawberry yogurt (I use whatever flavor I have on hand)

  • Pinch of cinnamon

  • Pinch of salt

  • 1-2 tbsp brown sugar

Pour mixture over melted butter, bake for 20 minutes at 400 degrees.

Serve hot and enjoy!
